Britney Spears shows off her moves to Michael Jackson in throwback clip

Britney Spears delighted fans as she posted a video of her dancing to a Michael Jackson track on Thursday.

Amid her mental health struggle and messy legal battle regarding the conservatorship her father still has over her affairs, Britney looked carefree and healthy as she showed off her epic moves to MJ and Janet Jackson's 1995 hit Scream.

However, after she posted the clip to Instagram, fans quickly noticed that the video is not new and was actually taken in March 2018.

Britney captioned the clip: 'Me and Michael' and is seen wearing a yellow bra top and plaid shorts as she works through a routine in her home gym.

The song she dances to was written by Jackson about his frustration at the media coverage of the 1993 child sexual abuse allegations against him and features lyrics such as: 'With such confusions don't it make you wanna scream?/ Stop pressurin' me/ Just stop pressurin' me/ I can't take it much longer/ I think I might go insane,'

Britney shared the energetic clip as longtime manager Larry Rudolph said that the singer may never perform again amid her mental health battle.

The Crazy hitmaker was scheduled to resume rehearsals for her Britney: Domination Las Vegas residency after rescheduling the concert earlier this year, but according to the former entertainment lawyer, Britney will not return to the stage.

Larry, 55, told TMZ: 'As the person who guides her career - based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis - from what I have gathered it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.'

He also told Variety that the 'Free Britney' movement is not necessary: 'I understand how much these fans love her and support her and I love that, he said.

'The part that concerns me is that it has no factual basis. The personal issues that Britney is dealing with are highly complicated and the conservatorship is there for a reason. The courts of the State of California take this very seriously. I hope the people allow her to have her private time.'

He also said that he knows her very well as he has managed the pop siren for decades - from 1998 to 2004 and 2008 to present.

'I’ve been with her for two-thirds of her life,' Larry continued. 'I look at her almost like I look at my own daughter. It’s very emotional for me… and really rough. Personally, I want for her to just find a peaceful, happy place - whatever that means for her. It’s not about a career anymore - it's about life.

'[Britney] is the one whose focus is on on [getting better]. She's driving it,' Larry told the publication. He added: 'Let her be a civilian for a while. She's given so much. Give her time.'

Meanwhile, a California judge has ordered an investigation into everybody who manages her financial affairs, medical care and personal life.

The judge wants 'a thorough investigation of all the players' involved in maintaining the Toxic singer's affairs, according to documents obtained by The Blast, and has ordered a probate court investigator to take a look at those overseeing the conservatorship, including her father Jamie Spears.
