The reprisal of her hit show is already consumed with drama.

And Shannen Doherty is fighting back against claims that she was one of two 'lead actresses' causing issues on the set after Variety reported showrunner Patrick Sean Smith quit on Thursday.

The 48-year-old star took to Instagram and posted a lengthy caption and said she would no longer be playing 'the same victim role' as she gears up for the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot.

Shannen said that it's 'an honor' to be a part of television history, but the backlash with popularity can be overwhelming.

'I refuse to be cast in the same villain role because "journalists" lack imagination and I certainly refuse to be cheapened as a survivor and as a woman by them,' she wrote. 'Yes, i am a strong woman. I have been thru hell and back. I am compassionate and caring. I’m multi faceted and not someone to be pigeon holed.

'I am a woman with my own story. Please stop trying to tell your wildly inaccurate, exaggerated story of me. I promise... you don’t know me.'

Shannen admitted that she's a 'control freak' over her health and not her job, before revealing that she's 'scared to work.'

'Trying to stay healthy and positive,' she wrote. 'I realized this morning, that I have a fear of doing what I love because of headlines like this. Not only because there is zero truth to it but because it lessens me and my journey, battle, experience with cancer. Why should I be scared to work? And why aren’t people held accountable for their fabricated stories?

The reboot, which is titled BH90210 and will begin airing on Fox this summer, brings back the show's principal players: Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering.

Multiple sources told Variety that the resignations were linked to creative interference and that two of the main actresses on the series had been meddling with the creative side while another source attributed it to a network executive.
