Britney Spears was spotted driving in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 37-year-old troubled pop star took the wheel of a white Mercedes Benz coupe with a mystery friend in the passenger seat.

And the outing comes amid reports that the Toxic singer is 'living life as usual' despite her conservatorship battles and fans concerned about her well-being, sparking the 'Free Britney' campaign.

The former Disney's Mickey Mouse Club star smiled as she drove with large retro shades and her trademark platinum tresses long and lose. 

The singer's appearance comes after she was spotted out on Friday with her boyfriend Sam Asghari. 

The pair's relationship appeared to be going from strength to strength, with the 25-year-old sticking by her through the testing time. 

Sources revealed to TMZ on Friday that Britney's conservatorship, under her father Jamie's name, was still in place with nothing changed. 

Despite reports that Britney and mom Lynne are trying to reduce the scope of Jamie's power within the conservatorship, sources say Britney is actually involving him in her life 'more than usual' and chooses to speak to him at least three times a day. 

The website reports that the conservatorship is 'business as usual', the way it has been for 11 years and the singer is free to come and go as she pleases - with certain restrictions. 

The source tells TMZ that liquor stores are off limits. Around the time of her breakdown in 2007 the pop icon was known to have alcohol issues. 

She has security with her at all times but they don't get involved unless there's a 'red flag'.
