casually reveals she's been living in London for A YEAR

Rihanna has blithely revealed that she's been residing in London for a year - and no-one seemed to realise.

The singer, 31, who originally hails from Barbados, told The New York Times, '[I enjoy] walking around the block. When I go walking, I try to keep it a little incognito,' adding that she finds bank holidays 'insane' [in a good way].

On learning this, Brits have gone wild with excitement - with many joining the dots from last week, when the star shared a selfie which had a Sainsbury's bag for life in the backdrop.

Shocked to see that the millionairess R'n'B star even knew about the British supermarket chain, comments materialised on Instagram to the tune of, 'I honestly never thought I would see Rihanna next to a Sainsbury's bag,' and, 'Rihanna owning a Sainsbury's bag for life. She is truly one of the people.'

The fan reaction has, again, blown up, since Rihanna's casual revelation that she walks among Londoners.

One person tweeted: 'I knew it! That's why there was a Sainsbury's bag for life in the back of that pic she posted! Can you imagine Rihanna at the self check out in Sainsbury's.'

Another wrote: 'SHOOK SHOOK SHOOK. The True Queen of England.'

It all makes sense: On learning this, Brits have gone wild with excitement - with many joining the dots from last week, when the star shared a selfie which had a Sainsbury's bag for life in the backdrop

'Wait. Rihanna lives in London???' another typed.

Another said: 'HELL F**KING YES. I suggest a hunt for our Queen and a march to return her to her throne at Buckingham Palace.'

'Rihanna lives in London?? I didn't know I was this close to the queen. I've breathed the same London air as her! OMG!' squeaked another.

Rihanna is worth $260million and has a designer wardrobe worth hundreds of thousands of pounds; and the now-famous orange Sainsbury's bag, which retails for a mere 50p in the UK (0.65 cents) and can be replaced at the till when worn out, isn't the only nod to a Brit high street store from the superstar.

On May 3, she shared a snap of one of her Fenty beauty products which she held in front of a Boots superstore sign.

'Look out for us at locations from MAY 10th !! I’m so excited, I love Boots and I love my UK fans!!! Get ready for #FENTYBEAUTYxBOOTS!!'
