She takes one of the titular roles in the ninth film from legendary director Quentin Tarantino, which has earned rave reviews and a seven-minute standing ovation at the premiere.

And Margot Robbie looked breathtaking as she joined her leading men Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt at the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood photocall at Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday.

Looking in high spirits as she joked and laughed with the two Hollywood icons, the Wolf Of Wall Street actress, 28, looked breathtaking in a boho-inspired white tulle dress paired with 60s-inspired braids.

The Australian beauty, who plays tragic pregnant actress and murder victim Sharon Tate in the film, revealed her lithe frame in the sparkling Bardot peasant dress with ruffled tulle adorned the neckline, sleeves and hem.

Featuring intricate brocade detail and lace inserts, the dress flowed into an elegant floor-length skirt with layers of tulle and floral embroidery.

The star boosted her height with silver stiletto shoes.

The I, Tonya actress wore her caramel locks in simple braids, while a radiant palette of make-up accentuated her pretty features.    

Margot was in great spirits as she larked about Leo and Brad, with the trio wrapping their arms around one another for the world's press.

Fight Club star Brad, 55, who plays stunt man Cliff Booth in the film, looked casually cool in a black polo shirt, matching trousers, a flat cap and shades.

Leading man Leo, 44, who plays Rick Dalton, was dapper in a crisp white shirt and navy suit, worn with sunglasses.

The handsome actors also put on a jovial display as they posed with their arms around one another.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood sees DiCaprio and Pitt bring the golden age of Hollywood back to life. 

Playing Rick Dalton and his stunt double Cliff Booth, the actors revisit a simpler time in tinsel town as they transport us back to Los Angeles in 1969, 

Margot Robbie takes on the role of Sharon Tate - the pregnant actress murdered by the Manson family in 1969.

Praising the 'wildly enjoyable black comedy' Daily Mail's Brian Viner heaped high praise on the 159 minute film.

He said: 'For me, his masterpiece will always be 1994's Pulp Fiction, but this isn't far behind, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt both on thumpingly fine form. 

'The film takes us on a journey towards that terrible night, but on the way Tarantino is in incorrigibly playful mood and has enormous fun depicting certain fixtures of 60s Hollywood.

'There is also, this being a Tarantino film, a full repertoire of tricks – voiceovers, split-screens, slow-mo, flashbacks. But they all add to the fun. 

'Tarantino recreates the era exquisitely and in a way has made the film a love-letter to his own square-eyed childhood. 

The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw praised the Tarantino film for honouring the golden age of Hollywood and balancing the enjoyment of the story with the 'horror and cruelty' of the vile murders.
