It's been six months since Johnny Ruffo announced that he was in remission from his shock brain tumour battle.

And on Thursday, the former Home And Away star revealed his plans to return to acting in the coming months.

Appearing on Channel Seven's The Morning Show, the 31-year-old said: 'I'm getting back into work... slowly keep kicking on.'

Johnny's life changed in August 2017, when he had a 7cm brain tumour surgically removed, before subsequently undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 

'Now that I have the all clear in the health part of things, I'm going to get back into television, back into acting, might even dip my toe into theater - if the role is right.' 

Johnny is unlikely to reprise his role as Christopher 'Chris' Harrington on Home And Away, as he left the show in 2016.
