Kanye West gets emotional as he reveals his sadness that mom Donda never got to met her grandchildren during interview with David Letterman

Kanye West was devastated by the death of his mother, Donda, in 2007. 

And he is set to reveal his sadness that she never got to meet his own children, in an exclusive interview with David Letterman. 

The 41-year-old rapper told the chat show host that it would be the 'funnest time of her life' if she was here, in a preview clip posted by his wife Kim Kardashian on Friday.

Kim shared the one minute clip, which sees Kanye speak emotionally about the loss of his mother, to her Twitter account. 

She captioned: 'Kanye opens up to David Letterman like you’ve never seen him on My Next Guest, streaming on @Netflix May 31.' 

Kanye, sporting bleached blonde hair, is seen sitting opposite the broadcasting pro, with Kim looking on from the audience.
