Amir hasn't spoke to his parents for the past six months as a bitter feud that once tore the family apart resurfaces, MailOnline revealed earlier on Friday.

In an exclusive interview, Amir's father Shah Khan blamed his son's wife Faryal Makhdoom Khan and her mother for the latest fall out, accusing them of trying to control his life and drive a wedge between him and his family.

Speaking from his home in Bolton, Shah said: 'Amir's wife and mother-in-law have teamed up, 100 per cent. They're in his head, both of them. They want to control everything about Amir. They're running the show. They want to run everything in his life. We said fine, carry on with it. We've taken a step back.

'But I don't know why he stopped talking to us. I have no idea. They keep pumping his head with 'oh they've (Khan family) ripped you off. They say that I've robbed him. They've turned him against us.'

Shah revealed that the current spat stemmed from last November when Amir went to Saudi Arabia with his wife to perform Umrah, the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.

While there, Amir exchanged some social media messages with his youngest sister Mariyah which, Shah claims, 'were not nice.'

He added: 'I couldn't see Amir sending those messages but they did come from his phone, so I wanted to know if he'd sent them. I thought when he gets back, I'll ask him, face to face but we've not faced each other since then.'

The Khan family publicly fell out in 2016 and 2017 amid a scathing war of words between Faryal and her in laws which was widely played out in the media. She accused them of bullying and violence while they branded her 'evil' and labelled her a bad mother.

The dispute prompted Amir to announce that he was divorcing his wife but they reunited after she revealed that she was pregnant with their second child. The couple have two children Lamisah, aged five and one-year old Alayna.

Amir, aged 32 and New York born beautician and model Faryal, aged 27, married six years ago in a ceremony that cost more than £1 million.

Shah said: 'I thought it was all sorted. Faryal came into my office, apologised and said, 'I was wrong.' She said it'd never happen again. We put things behind us and moved on. But I look back now and think it was all a load of bull.

'For a while we were a happy family. When Amir was on 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here' I'd call her up to come over and watch him on television with us. We thought what's happened has happened, you move on and hopefully you never make the same mistake again.

'But obviously people had different agendas otherwise we would not be in this position today.'

Despite burying the hatchet following their high profile fall out, Shah said: 'Deep down, I don't think she (Faryal) ever liked me.'
