Peter Stefanovic has announced a new breakfast TV role with Sky News.
The 37-year-old will front the network's flagship program First Edition alongside Laura Jayes, from July 1.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the journalist who was axed from Channel Nine in December, said he's 'excited' and 'thrilled' to join the team.

'I'm excited. Thrilled about it, actually,' Peter told the paper. 'It's a great challenge, a wonderful opportunity and a fantastic privilege to be asked to be part of the Sky News team.'
The new role comes after Peter was dropped from Channel Nine in December, after 15 years with the network.
Peter's axing was announced while he celebrated his brother Karl Stefanovic's wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico.
