He rose to stardom with his portrayal of errand boy Granville on the beloved BBC sitcom Open All Hours. 

And David Jason put on an animated display as he filmed for the upcoming series of Still Open All Hours alongside her co-star Tim Healy in Doncaster on Monday morning.

The screen star, 78, and Gastric actor Tim, 67, were up to their regular mischief as they were joined by a younger stunt double while shooting scenes on a kooky retro wagon.

During filming, Crossroads star David maintained his trademark look as he sported his signature tan trench coat while searching for a dog collar outside his shop Arkwright.

David's character Granville appeared to lend a helping hand to a bold Gastric, who hopping on a four-wheeled vehicle donning a helmet, goggles and a navy blue boiler suit.

The kooky wagon featured a huge banner emblazoned with the words: 'YOUR LOCAL PRESS WE COME TO YOU.'

While it is unclear what the pair's activity entailed, viewers could expect to see high-octane antics as Gastric was joined by a stunt double.
