Before revealing his choice, he said: 'The reason why I'm going to choose this young lady is because she's funny, she's good looking, she's intelligent. 'So the girl I want to couple up with is Amy.' His choice of girl came as a slight shock to viewers as he was seen hitting it off with Yewande just moments before he was told to reveal his decision. Ahead of his decision, Curtis said in the Beach Hut: 'I hadn’t actually spoken to Yewande before the challenge so I actually maybe would have liked to have given her a cheeky little peck.' She seemed to feel the same, saying later in the Beach Hut: 'I think I do fancy him. He has amazing eyes and he is really nice.' Curtis later told Yewande he felt more confused about his decision since getting to know her, saying: 'I don’t know what I’m going to do because I may have been swayed.' And then he chose Amy.'
