Guy told Who magazine he is 'obsessed' with design in a new interview and confessed that even he thinks his unique 'windowless' property is 'pretty out there'. The former Australian Idol winner has had to battle through a lengthy construction period and explained that furnishing his home has been much smoother. 'It's a unique design - pretty out there,' he said. 'We've chosen all the furniture, I found it all. That side of it has been easy.' I reckon there's going to be something that is going to shake up the building industry,' he predicted. Guy hinted that the property has taken much longer than he first expected and the cost of renovating significantly increased over the building process. Although, it sounds like it has been money well spent as Guy explained he has a love for design and interiors and has been pretty hands on in doing up his home. In November, Guy lashed out at the unidentified local man during a radio interview, after his construction was described as a 'nightmare' for residents. 'They're saying they are "the little guy", but they live in a $2million house or something. He's not the little guy, he's the angry guy!' Guy told Hit105. Unimpressed: The singer also faced backlash from neighbours who objected his home development, with one telling Daily Mail Australia they were considering moving because of the building work The star's neighbours in Maroubra were said to be furious over what they called his 'demolition nightmare'. One local told Daily Mail Australia last year they were considering moving due to the building work.
