Friends and co-stars of Married at First Sight's Cyrell Paule have rushed to her defence after she accused a New South Wales restaurant owner of physical assault and racist abuse.
In a series of Instagram posts on Sunday, the 30-year-old broke down in tears as she recalled being assaulted at Pelican Cafe in Shoal Bay, in what she described as an unprovoked attack.
She claims she was called a 'black monkey' before having her throat grabbed by a woman whose identity has not been made public.

Married at First Sight's Dean Wells was to stand up for the star, saying in his own Instagram video on Sunday: 'Someone who works there attacks Cyrell for no other reason than she's on a TV show.
'Calls her a black monkey, grabs her by the throat.. This place is disgusting. This place should be shut down.
'It blows my mind there's still ignorant, racist morons out there,' he concluded.
