Carrie Bickmore has revealed she is 'humbled' and 'proud' to make the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours list.

The Project host, 38, was awarded an Order of Australia for her 'service to the media and to brain cancer awareness' this long weekend.

'I am so honoured to have been awarded an Order of Australia,' she told 10 Daily of receiving the accolade.

Carrie added: 'Having seen the inspiring Australians who have also received awards, I feel so humbled to be in their company.' 

In 2015, the Gold Logie-winning journalist launched her charity Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer in honour of her late husband Greg Lange, who died in 2010 after a decade-long battle with the disease.
