In a trailer for the first episode of The Knockouts, the Destiny's Child star seemingly conspires to 'cheat' with the young singer during their pep talk backstage. However, their plan appears to backfire as Kelly is later called out by fellow coach Boy George in an explosive on-air showdown. The new teaser was shared by The Voice on Twitter and begins with Kelly offering her team member some controversial advice. She tells him: 'It might cause a stir and if it does, we'll just have to deal with those consequences later.' Urging him to go against protocol as they chat backstage in a dimly lit corridor, she adds: 'Anything worth having - you've got to break a couple of the rules.'
