Sheldon Riley made a dramatic return to The Voice on Sunday night, taking to the stage wearing a crystal mask that concealed his face.
And speaking to 9Honey, the aspiring singer revealed he decided to hide his identity during the blind auditions round to place greater emphasis on his vocals.
Sheldon, 19, explained that he wanted the coaches to focus on his talent rather than who he is, as he'd previously made it to The Voice's grand final last year.

Sheldon said: 'I wanted to walk out, not show my face and just really go on with my voice and the outfit I created.
'The whole point was when I sing the last words to my song, the mask comes
