Ahead of the big moment, Michael revealed he hasn't had a completely shaven head in eight years.
He seemed a little reluctant to say goodbye to his locks and had actually disappeared from set just 20 seconds before his hair cut was due to get underway.
Presenter David Campbell joked: '[Michael] had to be dragged back to the chair by Martha to cut these luscious locks.'
