The real estate market is in a tricky state at the moment, and amid that uncertainty arrives season eight of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing
In a trailer released Monday, real estate brokers and series regulars Fredrik Eklund, 42, Steve Gold, 34, and Ryan Serhant, 34, all return, as does former star Luis D. Ortiz, who makes a triumphant return after three years away from the series.
The short clip features Serhant overcome with emotion as he confesses his anxieties about the state of the market to his then-pregnant wife, Emilia Bechrakis.
Trouble ahead: The new trailer for season 8 of Million Dollar Listing New York finds Ryan Serhant, 34, tearing up as he unburdens himself to his pregnant wife, Emilia Bchrakis
Stressed: 'You don't know what my days are like,' he says. 'Every day I get yelled at because the market is crashing and it's my fault. This market is so hard and it is so relentless,' he confesses
'You don't know what my days are like,' a choked up real estate expert says during a kitchen discussion with his wife.
'Every day I get yelled at because the market is crashing and it's my fault. This market is so hard and it is so relentless,' continues as he struggles to wipe the tears from his eyes.
The couple welcomed a baby daughter, Zena, in February of this year.
In a lighter moment for the couple, Serhant rubs his wife's growing baby bump as he says he has to leave for work.
'Goodbye baby!' he shouts, holding his head up to her wife's tummy.
Tough times: After Serhant's unloading, fellow castmates Steve Gold, 34, and Fredrik Eklund, 42, are also seen struggling with the state of New York's high-end properties
Difficult choice: Eklund begs his seller to lower her price to $5.5 million, the highest he thinks he can sell the property
Hard bargain: She's hesitant about the steep drop from her initial price
After Serhant's unloading, the other castmembers are also seen struggling with the state of New York's high-end properties.
'The price is just too high,' Gold cautions over the phone.
In the following scene, Eklund begs his seller to lower her price to $5.5 million in order to find a buyer for her property.
Back in business: The season eight trailer also reintroduces viewers to seller Luis D. Ortiz, who was a fixture on Million Dollar Listing New York from seasons two through five, before taking years off to travel the world
