Dean Wells reveals the dark side of reality TV fame after MAFS co-star Cyrell ...

Married at First Sight star, Dean Wells rushed to Cyrell Paule's defence after she was allegedly physically assaulted and subjected to racist abuse in Shoal Bay on Sunday. 

Now, the 41-year-old has opened up about the dark side of reality TV fame as he reflected on Cyrell's 'racially motivated' brawl over the weekend.  

'This weekend I witnessed both the good and bad sides of being involved in reality TV. Although its been over a year since I was on MAFS it still affects my life all the time,' Dean began in a lengthy post shared to Instagram on Monday.

'Sometimes good, sometimes bad,' the Manly-based star added. 

'I've become good friends with Cyrell Paule and hung out with her and Eden Dally this weekend in Shoal Bay. 

'On the way out of town, a random woman Verbally attacked Cyrell for no other reason than she recognized her from TV and wanted to bring her down a peg. The argument escalated and the woman showed her true colours and made a horrible racist slur,' he claimed. 

Dean alleged these types of violent incidences 'happen all the time' but he rarely speaks about them publicly.

'This kind of stuff happens all the time and I barely talk about it. 99% of people are really nice and just want to hang out and have a chat. And to those people I am always grateful
