The country megastar, 51, will officially open the $100 million Sydney Coliseum Theatre, the city's new 2000-seat complex in Rooty Hill in December, The Daily Telegraph reported on Tuesday.

The Keith Urban and Friends concert will officially launch the theatre, which is set to rival performances that are often only seen at the Sydney Opera House.
The venue's opening will also include performances by Tina Arena, John Butler and Barry Humphries as Dame Edna Everage for her one-woman show My Gorgeous Life.
