Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper romance rumors 'didn't help' his relationship with ...

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's split was revealed on Thursday, after the duo were together for four years.

And it appears that the rumors of the movie star, 44, and his A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga, 33, didn't help matters.

'The rumors about Bradley and Gaga having a love affair didn't help especially with his constant travels [promoting the film],' according to People's insider.  

The source added that Bradley has a 'huge and overwhelming connection to Gaga,' however whether or not it develops into something romantic is 'premature.'

Explaining: 'Whether it becomes a real story in their lives for all the world to see is premature, and it's difficult to speculate at this sensitive time.'

Bradley and Irina, 33, have a daughter together - Lea de Seine, two.

The couple, who had been together since 2015, 'have always been very private about their relationship,' the insider said, which is why 'few knew there was really for sure something going on.'

Rumors of a romance between Gaga and Bradley surged in February of this year after their steamy performance of their A Star Is Born tune Shallow at the Oscars.

Gaga shot down the romance rumors on Jimmy Kimmel Live soon after; She told Jimmy Kimmel: 'Yeah, people saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see.'

However, the rumor mill began to churn again as claims emerged that Bradley was 'emotionally absent' from Irina as he was working on the critically acclaimed movie.

The actor was distant 'during the long time filming' the musical drama with Lady Gaga, a source told People on Monday.
