Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's double denim disaster will go down as one of the most cringe-inducing red carpet looks of all time.
And it appears that Joel Edgerton and his Vogue editor girlfriend Christine Centenera inadvertently taken inspiration from Britney and Justin's now-infamous 2001 American Music Awards attire as they attended the Wardrobe.NYC launch party in LA on Tuesday.
The actor, 44, rocked a faded blue denim jacket with a pair of jeans, while his brunette lady love teamed a denim shirt with a matching button-up shirt.

Joel even accessorised his double denim ensemble with a cowboy hat, just like the pop princess' then-boyfriend Justin.
The Boy Erased star and his girlfriend were joined at the party by a slew of celebrities, including, Kim Kardashian, Elizabeth Chambers, Troye Sivan and Jen Atkin.
Joel continued to show off his Justin-esque look while he chatted with the stunning makeup mogul, 38, during the star-studded event in Los Angeles.
