Channel Nine's Today show failed to 'wake up' on Thursday morning.
In one of the lowest moments in the program's recent history, an entire segment was dedicated to a Donald Trump impersonator.
Hosts Georgie Gardner and Deborah Knight awkwardly giggled as comedian John Di Domenico performed an impression of the U.S. president that he'd clumsily tailored for Australian audiences.

The interview had a rather confusing start, as the presenters did not introduce John as an impersonator but instead claimed they had an interview with Trump himself.
After crossing 'live' to Washington D.C., John began: 'Hello, Australia. I know how much you love me. And I just want to let you love me. And I just want to let you know everything's going great!'
The actor, who has been doing impressions of Trump for 12 years, then made several jokes about the president and even referenced the Mueller Report.

John then awkwardly complimented Today's female hosts.
'I just wanted to share it with you, my favourite people, the Australians, especially Deb and Georgie, who by the way, you look tremendous. You look really, really incredible. I have to tell you!' he said.
