Ariana Grande enlisted the help of her fans as she sang an emotional tribute to her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller on Wednesday night. 

The 25-year-old singer choked back tears as she sang Thank U, Next to a packed stadium in Miller's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on her Sweetener tour.

Grande stumbled around the lyrics 'Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm,' but the audience made sure to back up their favorite performer and helped her recover with a wild applause for the rapper.

Ariana stood in the middle of the stage with back-up vocalists on each side during the performance.

Pink lights highlighted the stage and fans could be heard singing the lyrics along with Grande. 

TMZ also reported that Ariana 'got upset' during the opening performance of Raindrops
