Miley Cyrus oozes sex appeal in her Black Mirror character Ashley O's music ...

Miley Cyrus is a chameleon when it comes to taking on new personas.

And the singer, 26, proved on trend as she stepped into the role of global pop star Ashley O for the new music video On A Roll released on Thursday.

The clip was presented by Netflix as Ashley O is the troubled character played by Cyrus in the recent Black Mirror episode titled Rachel, Jack and Ashley, Too. 

The episode - one of three new stories in the fifth season of the popular sci-fi series - follows a teenager's idolization of Ashley O as the musician wants to break free of her bubblegum mainstream image but is controlled by her nefarious aunt/manager Catherine Ortiz.

Catherine - who poisoned Ashley O and created a hologram of her to control the money-making career - is even featured at the end of the music video. 

In the scintillating clip, Ashley O performs with several scantily-clad background dancers on a neon-drenched set.

She flaunts her figure in a cut-out white leather and PVC outfit akin to the wardrobe of any current pop star. 

At one point, Ashley O relaxes in a white tub filled with a pink liquid. The background dancers attempt to pull her out of it before the screen cracks - breaking the fourth wall - in the manner of the opening sequence of Black Mirror.

'The story is essentially the spirit of Miley and her commentary about the music industry and laughing at its absurdity,' Black Mirror executive producer Annabel Jones told The Hollywood Reporter about the episode.

Cyrus related to the story as she has been a pop icon for most of her life and even offered input.
