She has spent a week in the US as her former Spice Girls pals geared up to conclude their tour with three nights at Wembley Stadium in London.

And Victoria Beckham was back to reality on Saturday as she celebrated her mother-in-law Sandra's 70th birthday in a sweet snap posted to Instagram.

The mother-of-four, 45, was with her husband David, 44, and children Cruz, 14, Romeo, 16, and Harper, seven, as the group posed with Sandra ahead of a lavishly decorated cake.

Also in the snap were David's sisters Joanne and Lynne, with the couple's eldest son Brooklyn, 22, noticeably absent from the family occasion. 

In the caption, the fashion designer wrote: 'Happy birthday @sandra_beckham49 x We all love u so much xx kisses xxx'. 

Victoria also shared snaps and clips from the evening to her Instagram Stories, in which her husband threw his arm around his mother as the pair watched an impressive fireworks show.

In another photograph, David smiles next to the newly 70-year-old as he sips on a glass of red wine. 

Victoria's post comes as her Spice Girls bandmates prepare to perform at a packed Wembley Stadium in London for the last night of their Spice World tour on Saturday.

And glum fans were quick to take to the comments of the Instagram tribute to demand the fashion designer attended their final show.

One user said: 'Please you promised the fans you would go to the show'.

Another commented: 'Oh my god, Victoria, you are not going to see the girls perform?! Not even that small gesture of appreciation? How rude and impolite that would be. 

'Posh? I don't think so, posh people have manners'. 

'Gurl I love you, now please get back to London and give ya
