He campaigned for Grant Denyer to win the Gold Logie last year, because he thought it would be funny if someone won despite just having their show cancelled.
And as he fronts Sunday's Stellar magazine, Tom Gleeson said he has 'no regrets' as the idea of winning such an award is 'preposterous' and 'stupid'.
Ironically, the 45-year-old has been nominated for this year's Gold Logie, and is determined to walk away with the prized statue.

'The idea of winning the Gold Logie is so preposterous that I have to have it,' Tom told Stellar. 'It is so stupid, and it makes me laugh so much, that it makes me want it.'
The comedian is nominated for both the Gold Logie and Most Popular Presenter, for his Hard Chat segments on ABC's The Weekly with Charlie Pickering and Hard Quiz.
Tom, who has created the hashtag #Gleeson4Gold, is the bookies favourite, ahead of Amanda Keller, Waleed Aly and Rodger Corser.
