'Unconscious racism':Love Islands Sherif has claimed he thinks he was the victim of 'unconscious racism' in the villa after he was kicked out for inappropriate behaviour He said: 'I can't rule out that racism was a factor here. I think there may have been some unconscious racism. 'By that I mean, the producers might not have been aware of what they were doing, but they may have had an inherent bias in their minds that caused them to act against me. 'I say this because there were so many things I was pulled aside on. The first was calling Amber 'lighty,' which I know is a poor choice of words but she did not get offended.' Reprimanded: The chef, 20, suggested that he was pulled aside for certain comments he made during his time on the programme while other Islanders 'got away' with them Opinion: Sherif said during an interview with the Sun following his departure, that he thinks there was an 'inherent bias' in producers' minds against him Sherif also claimed that he used the word 'rape' in a non-offensive context and was reprimanded by producers who told him that it was a banned word. There is no suggestion that Sherif's departure from the ITV show was linked to anything other than his behaviour. Sherif's comments come after he was removed from the villa for kicking contestant kicking Molly-Mae Hague in a sensitive region. Explaining the sequence of events that led to his removal in further detail, Sherif stated that he and Tommy went to brush their teeth before bed and were met by Molly in the bathroom. Revealed: The chef, 20, has finally revealed that the reason behind his shock exit from the ITV2 exit was because he kicked Molly-Mae in the groin and joked it was a 'c*** punt' Sweet: 'Our relationship was just reaching a key moment when I was kicked out. I hope to see Anna again but for now they've ruined that romance for me — and that's hard to take' Sherif revealed that he and Molly began play fighting and 'acting out karate moves' - but inevitably his 'toes crashed into her groin and she crouched over in a defensive position.' Confessing that he didn't think anything was wrong, Sherif noted that they all continued laughing and joking following the accidental kick, and 'he didn't feel the need to apologise for his 'c*** punt' remark.' Sherif claimed ITV producers woke him up two hours before everyone else, they dragged him down to the Beach Hut and then interrogated him over what had happened before asking him to leave the show. Insta girl: Sherif also admitted that he had an instant attraction to Anna, who he recognised from social media and had previously followed her on Instagram Read more: Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
