Christian Horner poses for backstage selfies with every Spice Girl but Mel B

The Horner household made no secret of their irritation when Mel B blithely announced that she and bandmate Geri had enjoyed an alleged fling in their Spice Girls heyday.

And while it's certainly seemed like water under the bridge while the group has been back on the road for their SpiceWorld 2019 tour over the past few weeks, Geri's husband Christian appeared to pass on the opportunity to share a selfie with Mel B on the final night at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Taking to Instagram, Christian, 45, shared a photo with Mel C, with Emma Bunton, with his wife Geri and with Geri and singer Adele, who was also in attendance to watch the show.

But no snap with Mel B.

Back in March, Scary Spice told Piers Morgan during a taping for Life Stories that she and Ginger Spice had been more than just friends.

The singer confessed: ‘She is going to hate me for this because she is all posh with her country house and her husband, but it’s a fact. But it wasn’t a thing, it just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it.’

When Morgan enquired how frequently they slept together, the 44-year-old said ‘Oh stop it, you pervert’, before eventually confirming there was a solitary sexual encounter. 

Geri, 46, married Formula 1 racing team boss Christian in 2015.

He posted a snap with Geri in his arms in Wembley after the final 2019 Spice Girls show, proudly captioning it: '13 shows performing in front of over 700,000 people - I’m incredibly proud of you @therealgerihalliwell -you and the girls have been amazing and I’ve learnt some new dance moves. @emmaleebunton @melaniecmusic @officialmelb #spiceworld2019.'

At least Mel B got a shout-out on Instagram after all.  

Ahead of their last sold-out performance Geri hung out with Adele backstage, while Mel B soaked up the support act Jess Glynne among the excitable crowds at Wembley.

Celebrities including A-list star Emma Stone have turned out in their droves to watch the girls reunite 25 years after they first formed.

Adele also met Emma who shared a sweet selfie of the two of them and branded the pop star 'gorgeous' as she paid a sweet tribute ahead of the show. 

Earlier in the day Geri met groups of fans who had turned out in the hopes of meeting their favourite Spice Girl before the show, one fan was even so dedicated he revealed he was getting her signature tattooed on his arm.

She also shared a clip of herself walking out into Wembley Stadium where she predicted: 'There's going to be a lot of love a lot of tears,  four spice girls, 700,000 people 13 stadiums. Tonight - it's the big one.'
