An emotional Jamie Redknapp has recalled the moment he discovered dad Harry was seriously injured in a horror car accident that left four people dead.
Harry had travelled to Italy for the 1990 World Cup when the minibus he was travelling in collided with a car containing three Italian soldiers.
The 72-year old, then manager of AFC Bournemouth, suffered fractured skull, cracked ribs, a broken nose and an injury to left leg during the accident, which claimed four lives - including that of close friend and Bournemouth managing director Brian Tiler.

Appearing on the latest installment of Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Jamie - who was 17 and beginning his professional career with Bournemouth at the time of the accident - choked back tears as he recalled seeing his father in hospital.
'You didn’t like to see him in that situation, it was so difficult,' he said. 'We were so proud to have him back but he wasn’t allowed to manage for a while, which was difficult for him. It was difficult times all round really.
