She's the up-and-coming pop superstar who is behind behemoth hits such as Ocean Eyes and Bellyache. 

However, US singer, Billie Eilish, 17, has admitted being called pop music's new 'It' girl actually 'irks' her. 

The teenage pop star told Vogue Australia's July edition, the constant acknowledgement of her rising celebrity status is 'annoying'.

'As grateful as I am for the appreciation and the love, honestly, I've become numb to it,' the Los Angeles-based songstress told the publication. 

'I remember the first couple of times people called me the face of pop or pop's new 'It' girl or whatever the f**k... it kind of irked me,' Billie added.
