Love Island bosses will film a winter version in South Africa after Christmas on the back of the roaring success of the steamy summer show.

Fans will be ecstatic they don't have to wait a whole year for Love Island, now that TV chiefs are going to shoot a second series for the duration of the winter months. 

The post-Christmas installment of Love Island will plug the gap left after Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother was terminated last year.

A source told the newspaper: 'After the flop of Survival of the Fittest producers want to keep the format simple and mop up the gaping hole Celebrity Big Brother left reality TV hungry audiences.
