The former Coronation Street actress, 43, was delighted her daughter Emilie Mae Cunliffe, 22, surprised her by paying tribute to late Archie. She told OK! magazine. Kym was speaking to the publication about her grandson for the first time since Emilie and her boyfriend Mike Hoszowskyj welcomed the newborn into the world. The actress, who has quit Coronation Street after 13 years, enthused it 'means the world' to her that her daughter had honoured her late son with the touching tribute. As far as I knew, he was going to be called Teddy David and I was chuffed with the name David being there... 'But now Archie lives on in Teddy's name. Having a baby boy in the house with Archie's name as part of his means the world to me.' Emilie kept it secret from her mum that she would be giving her son her late brother's name until after she had welcomed Teddy into the world. Kym will be leaving her role as Michelle Connor in long-running soap Coronation Street later this year and previously admitted her new grandchild was one the the reasons for her exit. She said: ‘Another big factor in my decision to take a break from Corrie is the impending arrival of my grandson. I’m looking forward to having more time to spend with him and Emilie after he’s born this summer.'
