She played super-rich fashionista Marissa Cooper in teen drama The O.C.
But Mischa Barton confirmed on Tuesday that much of her character's designer wardrobe was 'fake' - at least for the show's first season.
During an Australian radio interview, the 33-year-old actress was asked about claims made by The O.C.'s former costume designer last year that Marissa's Chanel bags were actually cheap counterfeits.

Responding to the allegation, Mischa told The Kyle and Jackie O Show : 'I don't know who started that rumour but Chanel were throwing stuff at us by the second season.
