Joe Garratt's 'controlling' behaviour towards Lucie Donlan has garnered 302 complaints to Ofcom from fans and the concern of a domestic charity boss.
Now axed Love Island star Sherif, 20, has weighed in on the controversial subject as he had no qualms pointing out his former co-star needs to 'grow up' in his relationships.
The reality star, who was booted off the show for kicking Molly-Mae in the groin, claimed Joe has a 'youthful' approach to romance by expecting the centre of his girlfriend's world from the moment they start dating.

However, the outspoken personality was insistent his former co-star's behaviour didn't come from a 'bad place'.
He explained himself: 'In a relationship/girl sense, he's [Joe] got that youthful, "I wanna be all about you" straight away aspect. That's a journey for him to go on.
'It doesn't come from a bad place. People should understand that. I don't think it's a jealousy thing; well, it might be.'
