Chris Martin looks carefree as he is seen for the first time since his split ...

Chris Martin was spotted for the first time since his split from Dakota Johnson on Wednesday, amid reports that the break-up was because the actress wasn't ready for children.

The couple, who were dating for nearly two years, were said to be rocky for months as they had a string of rows about the right time to start a family.

Seen for the first time since the split, the Coldplay frontman, 42, looked as if he didn't have a care in the world in London on Wednesday.

The rocker sought solace in the company of his longtime manager Phil Harvey when they went for a stroll in the British capital.

Career-driven Dakota was first spotted on the set of Covers in LA following the end of their 20-month relationship.

Chris was said to have called it quits with Dakota after they reportedly were arguing for months over whether to start a family together.

A close friend of the exes told the Sunday Express that the pair 'couldn't be further apart' when it came to the topic of having children.

They told the publication: 'Chris made it clear that he wants more kids as soon as possible but Dakota's career has really taken off and that's the last thing she wanted to think about right away.'

Chris hoped to expand his brood as he already shares daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12, with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

The friend added: 'It got to the point, last month, where a light seemed to flick on in both their heads and they realised they were pulling in completely opposite directions so they decided to call it a day.'

The pal also explained that the Yellow hitmaker splashed out on a £4.5million beach house in Malibu and hoped that he and the actress would 'settle down' and start a family there.
