Jacki, 72, revealed on US talk show Late Night with Seth Myers one party guest was left red-faced after being adamant she wasn't from Down Under. She's not from here! The Sydney-born starlet is so well-established on the Hollywood scene she said she is now mocked for her real accent being weak when she returns home. 'They only let me play an Australian accent in Australia, and then they say "you've lost your accent and you're sounding like a bloody yank,"' Jacki joked. 'My husband were trying to get into a restaurant and just ahead of us was Dame Maggie (Smith) because she was in Australia at the time,' she recalled. 'He said "why don't you just say you're Dame Maggie Smith" and she said "oh don't be so f***ing stupid!"' Jacki was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Animal Kingdom, 2011, and Silver Linings Playbook, 2013. She also stars in the new movie Poms, with a stellar cast including Diane Keaton, Rhea Perlman, and Pam Grier.
