For many Australians, she is the dictionary definition of the 'scorned woman'.

But Cassandra Thorburn is 'genuinely' trying to move on with her life after finalising her divorce from Karl Stefanovic, according to her Studio 10 co-host Sarah Harris.

Sarah, 37, told The Kyle and Jackie Show on Thursday that her new colleague is determined to leave the past behind and reinvent herself.

Sarah claimed that Cassandra, 48, 'brings this whole kind of new vibe' to Studio 10.

When radio host Kyle Sandilands interrupted and joked that she was a 'scorned woman', Sarah laughed nervously and insisted that wasn't the case.

She continued: 'It must be very hard to front up and then always being questioned about your very famous ex-husband. She genuinely wants to move on.'
