With Season 4 of Riverdale about to start production this summer, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed the premiere will honor the late Luke Perry.
Aguirre-Sacasa, 46, took to Twitter this afternoon, revealing the cover page of the script he wrote for the Season 4 premiere.
'Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever. A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke & Fred.

Perry's last appearance on Riverdale was the Season 3 episode Fear the Reaper, which aired on April 24.
His character, Fred Andrews, the father of KJ Apa's Archie Andrews, has not been since, with his character said to be out of town.
Aguirre-Sacasa revealed in an interview after the Season 3 finale with The Hollywood Reporter that they didn't want to rush a resolution for that character.
