He shot to fame in the 1990s thanks to his portrayal of Summer Bay bad-boy Morris 'Revhead' Gibson on Home And Away.
But three decades later, Gavin Harrison, 48, has turned his back on the spotlight to pursue a career behind the camera in Los Angeles.
Appearing on Monday's episode of The Morning Show, the former A Country Practice star spoke about why he founded an advertising company, Section9 Productions, after turning his back on fame.
'When I started out, I was always doing both [acting and working behind the camera]. And acting really acting really took off and put me on a trajectory in that direction,' he explained.
Gavin continued: 'But then as things played out and I got a bit older, I began thinking that I really love directing, film making and photography.'
