It is not the first time he had professed his love for the Irish potato snack. 

And Liam Gallagher decided to fly out his favourite Tayto crisps in true rock 'n' roll style following his highly-anticipated show at the Irish Independent Park in Cork on Sunday night.

The former Oasis frontman, 46, took to social media to share a photo of his giant box of cheese and onion crisps buckled into his flight from Cork Airport with the caption: 'What a BELTER LG x.'

Despite the rain, the musician appeared to be in high spirits about his latest open air performance, which also saw Gerry Cinnamon take to the stage as Liam's special guest.

Following the performance Liam tweeted: 'Cork you were biblical last night if the rain comes they run and hide there heads do they f*** c’mon you know WHY ME?WHY NOT. LG x.' 

He added: 'It was great to finally meet the GC not her R Gerry top top man doing supernatural things x.'

This is not the first time Liam has declared his love for the mouth-watering crisps that hail from the Republic of Ireland.
