She's one of the world's most iconic supermodels who has graced magazine covers and catwalks around the globe. 

And Naomi Campbell, 49, is set to be recognised for her contribution to the fashion industry after the announcement was made at The Fashion Awards 2019 and Fashion For Relief special event at The Ritz on Monday. 

The supermodel will be honoured with the special recognition Fashion Icon Award at a ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on December 2.

Naomi looked super stylish at the special announcement as she learned of her latest accolade.

The model beauty wore a statement T-shirt emblazoned with her Fashion For Relief charity logo, teamed with a patterned and pleated midi skirt. 

The pastel coloured skirt was perfectly complemented with satin navy stiletto heels and a matching silk choker necklace. 

Accentuating her model features with a glowing make-up palette, Naomi wore her brunette locks loose in a wavy style and took to the stand wearing a pair of black-framed glasses.

The exciting award news was announced by the British Fashion Council at the special event, where she was joined by Chief Executive, Caroline Rush.

Naomi told of her pride after it was revealed that she is to be honoured with the Icon prize at the 2019 Fashion Awards in December. 

She revealed: 'It's a special honour, because it's from your country, your birthplace. 

'It's from the people in my business that have voted to give this to me, so it means so much to me.'
