'She should have been arrested': Piers Morgan slams Love Island's Maura for having double standards over Tom's 'all-mouth' comment and accuses her of 'assaulting half the men in the villa' By Rebecca Davison for MailOnline Published: 10:16 BST, 25 June 2019 | Updated: 10:16 BST, 25 June 2019 Viewcomments Piers Morgan has accused Love Island's Maura Higgins of having double standards over her now-resolved spat with Tom Walker. Discussing the row on GMB on Tuesday, he claimed she is in the wrong and should have been arrested for repeatedly trying to kiss Tommy Fury, 20, a fortnight ago. He said: 'Maura is the sex assaulter who assaulted Tyson Fury's half brother and no-one cares because she's a woman. 'She should have been arrested': Piers Morgan slammed Love Island's Maura on GMB on Tuesday for having double standards over Tom's 'all-mouth' comment and accused her of 'assaulting half the men in the villa' Not perfect: Two weeks ago, Maura's repeated attempts to kiss Tommy against his will garnered 500 Ofcom complaints 'She literally assaulted him, told him to get off but she continued. She should have been arrested.' He continued: 'Poor Maura, the man-eater, I do hope she recovers having assaulted half the men in the villa. 'I hope she recovers from someone having a joke at her expense, poor girl.' Drama: On Sunday , the ring girl was furious when she overheard Tom bantering talking to the boys about whether or not she was 'all-mouth' and would sleep with him in the Hideaway She had said: 'I don't want a lad, I want a gentleman. Someone who is going to talk about me with a bit of respect,' Maura told the girls - and rightly so Maura, 28, earned major respect from viewers for calling Tom, 29, out for his behaviour on Sunday and Monday night, after she asked him to go in the Hideaway with her. The boys had seemed confused that because Maura talks openly about sex, they felt therefore she would definitely have sex with Tom in the Hideaway. This presumption came even after Maura admitted that she had only had five lovers in her life and she had never had a one-night stand. Reconciling: Maura and Tom soon patched things up and she was right to call him out on his presumptive behaviour about her sexual habits - she has never had a one night stand But as soon as she was asked by ITV to choose someone to take to the Hideaway with her, the boys handed Tom a condom and laughed and jeered. Maura then overheard Tom saying that he was going to see if Maura was 'all mouth' leading to her calling it a 'di**head comment' and telling him to 'get f***ed.' It's worth noting that Tom profusely apologised for not respecting her and the pair have since patched things up. He had been honest about what he had done wrong and Maura was convinced he has simply 'made a mistake.' When Maura first appeared on the show as a late arrival, she wasn't very popular as she made a play for Tommy Fury, and found herself in a love triangle with Molly-Mae. In a bid to make her feelings known, she made a play for Tommy, climbing on top of him and trying to kiss him. When he shirked away from her, she tried to kiss him again, leading to a similar level of criticism that Tom faced over his treatment of Maura. Over 500 complaints were made to Ofcom and Piers made his feelings known at the time. He said back then: 'What part of "no" means no? 'What part did he not communicate there, it's clear premeditated assault, she needs to be dragged out of there and arrested. That's the new rule isn't it?' A bold statement: Piers accused Maura of assaulting half the men in the villa - however, it's not clear what he's talking about as no other names spring to mind Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
