Cindy Crawford celebrates the late George Michael's birthday by sharing her Freedom performance on Lip Sync Battle

Tuesday would have been George Michael's 56th birthday. 

Though the singer died in 2016, his place in pop culture remains. 

Cindy Crawford took to Instagram to honor the late singer on his birthday. She shared behind the scenes clips from his iconic Freedom music video she starred in, as well as her guest appearance on Lip Sync Battle as Zachary Quinto performed the song.

The supermodel posted a clip from the Star Trek actor's performance, in which he dressed in a similar leather jacket that the Wham! lead singer made a staple of his persona. 

She made a surprise appearance during the performance. In the clip his Star Trek co-star Zoe Saldana exclaims 'That's Cindy Crawford!' 

In the clip she sizzles in only a white dress shirt and black stilettos. She throws some sexy moves as the Heroes star lip syncs along.

'Remembering George Michael today on his birthday with a little FREEDOM lip sync,' she captioned the video. 'Nail it Zachary Quinto.' 

The mom of two famously starred in the 1990 video alongside fellow models Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatijana Patitiz and Christy Turlington after the singer was inspired by Peter Lindbergh's traitor of them for British Vogue.
