The last time Tom Gleeson appeared on the Today show, he hijacked the program and asked anyone who would listen: 'Where is Karl Stefanovic?'
And while he didn't quite deliver a repeat performance on Wednesday, the Hard Quiz host dragged Karl back into the spotlight once again with a rather cheeky comment.
After a friendly chat with co-anchors Georgie Gardner, Deborah Knight and Tom Steinfort, Tom, 45, referenced a rather notorious chapter in the Today show's history.
Tom, who is on a promotional tour after being nominated for the Gold Logie, was invited on Today to discuss his #Gleeson4Gold campaign.
As the hosts wrapped up the interview, Georgie invited Tom to come and speak to them the morning after the Logies, as they will be reporting live from the Gold Coast.
'Don't be a stranger. Come and see us if you win!' she said.

Without missing a beat, the comedian replied: 'I will. I will get up the next morning and I will come and say hello and I will be in terrible shape - like Karl!'
