And Luann de Lesseps wants people to 'hear my side of the story' surrounding the night of Dec. 24, 2017 where she was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida following a series of drunken escapades at The Colony Hotel.
The Real Housewives of New York star admitted she's 'not perfect' and has 'been keeping diaries all this time' to reveal what happened on that night and the events leading up to her decision to go sober.

'I really want people to know what happened to me,' she told DailyMail.com. 'I want people to hear my side of the story.'
Luann was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication, battery on an officer, resisting arrest and threatening a public servant.
'People will be most shocked to hear about that famous night and what actually happened,' she said. 'I can't say too much about it now because I'm still dealing with the legal system.'
Luann admitted that her new work — she penned her first book in 2009 called Class with the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair — would hopefully 'be ready for spring.'

She's most proud of herself for 'rising above' an incredibly difficult situation that played out in the public eye.
'I take it day by day,' she said. 'It's been a real challenge ... Right now, I'm just really focused on my sobriety and that's really taken the forefront for me and has taken all of my energy.'
