Love Island: Tom is BOOTED from the villa in a shock dumping from Maura

His stint on the ITV2 dating series has seen him spark a controversial sexism row among viewers for making a suggestive comment about his partner Maura Higgins.

And Tom Walker appeared to have rubbed the public the wrong way as he was booted from the villa alongside Arabella Chi in dramatic scenes on Thursday's Love Island.

It was up to 'safe' Islanders Amber, Lucie and Molly-Mae to decide which boy got their marching orders, with the trio of girls unanimously agreeing the way he'd been treating Maura was reason enough for him to leave.

In addition, just hours before, Maura had officially dumped Tom herself, claiming it was 'done' between them, after he was caught lying to her about calling her 'loud and cringe'.

Viewers were in agreement too.

'The islanders made the right decisions. Both Arabella and Tom deserved to be dumped. Laters, bitches,' one person tweeted.

'Tom deserved the boot for being a lying c**t,' voiced another.

A third wrote: 'What goes around comes around Tom you stupid d**khead, exactly what he deserved and one of the worst islanders there’s ever been #loveisland glad to see him go.'

In a candid post-exit interview, the model, 28, admitted he should have been 'straight up' about his feelings for grid girl Maura, also 28, who he slyly branded 'a cringe, OTT attention-seeker' during a conversation with Jordan Hames.

On Sunday's episode, the hunk left ring girl Maura furious when she overheard him joking that he would be interested to see if she's 'all mouth or not' during their planned night in the Hideaway.

And just days after patching things up, the couple were at loggerheads once again after the Irish beauty discovered Tom had been talking about her behind her back.

Shortly before his departure from the series, Maura branded him a 'bare-faced liar and a coward' after learning about his negative comments from fellow Islander Anna Vakili.
