The lawsuit was filed against Anthony Steven, a.k.a. Anthony Elia, who runs the Absolute Britney website and is 'one of the loudest voices' in the #FreeBritney movement.
A new report from Page Six claims that lawsuit was filed because Elia's posts lead to other Spears fans sending violent threats to the conservatorship team, including the singer's father, Jamie Spears.
'They’re starting to make violent threats against these people,' a source close to the 37 year old singer said, adding the authorities have become involved.
'Some of these people believe everything they’re reading, and we do need people to realize that their words have consequences,' the source added.
