Ray Hadley has been given an epic pay rise, which initially saw him being promised Alan Jones' coveted breakfast radio job.

As of tomorrow, the 64-year-old veteran radio host will earn an additional $1.7 million a year, putting his new salary at $4 million a year.

It's not the only shake-up taking place at the radio station, as they try to recruit Today presenter Deb Knight as a regular host, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.

Negotiations reportedly started with Ray last year, with the original plan seeing him replacing Alan, 78, in the network's breakfast time slot.

Meanwhile, Ray - who is now rumoured to be on equal money to Alan - has signed a contract with the radio station for up until 2025.
