Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant were mobbed in Sydney on Friday morning.

The Married At First Sight couple spent an hour meeting and greeting members of the public at a Huawei launch in the Queen Victoria Building's Happytel store. 

But all wasn't as it seems at the event, with not everybody attending to see them.

Although many fans of show flocked to the store for a selfie with the stars, half of the people in attendance stopped by just for the complimentary products advertised.

With the store promoting 'free Bluetooth headphones' to the first 50 people to arrive on their social media, a lot were unsure who the celebrity guests even were.   

'Some people thought they just worked there,' an onlooker told Daily Mail Australia.
